So how did I start making cool cakes?  It actually took a little luck and a LOT of hard work.  It started with the luck of the draw....literally.  I won a drawing for a cake decorating kit at my local craft store. So I took my first Wilton class in 2006 and was hooked!  After taking as many local classes as possible and lots of practicing at home, I became an instructor and taught Wilton cake decorating to 200 students.  My students ranged from 13-60yrs old!  I had a great time teaching, but with the support of my family I began selling my own cakes. In 2010 I became certified in safe food handling, and Artisan Cakes LLC was born!  With 120+ cakes made, I continue the learning process by expanding my techniques to provide you with innovative designs.  I am looking forward to revealing the next cake and share another moment of joy with my customers!
